Since its start in 2017, Highland Charity Jive has not only provided a friendly, inexpensive venue for dancing modern jive, but has also donated money to the local charities listed below.

Nairn wheelchair club is a small charity supported by a community of people helping out to make places accessible to wheelchairs ,such as Nairn beach.They loan out for free wheelchairs with very broad wheels to travel on the sand.

As a centre of excellence, they provide life changing oxygen therapy and specialist support to people living with long term and complex health conditions and their families.

Culcabock & Drakies Community Hall is where Highland Charity Jive has been dancing from its inception in 2017 until the recent refurbishments. We look forward to returning to the hall once all the work has been finished.

Diabetes and children
This group organises events to allow youngsters with type 1 diabetes, and their families, to socialise with other similarly affected youngsters. This may be the only opportunity the children, their parents and siblings have to meet with others in a similar situation.

The Clay Studio is based in Merkinch and is space where creating pottery is open to all, regardless of level of ability. They focus on creating art together in a friendly, welcoming and accessible environment. It's open to experienced potters and to groups like the Sunflowers and Butterflies who need some extra support.

Following the tragic death of local musician, Liam Colgan in 2018, the Liam Colgan Music Fund was set up to honour his memory. The Fund is an independent charity to support young musicians and others in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, keen to pursue ambitions in music, whether simply to make and perform music in their local community, or to follow dreams of a career in music, on the artistic, creative, technical or business side of the music industry.

Lucy's Lights is a small charity in Elgin aimed at supporting girls and woman with Autisum. Started by 2 young woman in memory of their friend who struggled with her mental health as a result of her condition, taking her own life. They offer advice, a texting "check in" support and organise meet ups in what they describe as "safe and autium friendly environments". They will use the monies to support their ongoing service.

Inverness Foodstuff is a project based at Hilton Community Centre and Ness Bank church. It provides free, tasty and nutritious meals and is a place for people of all ages to socialise. Volunteers make the meals and provide support. Advice on a range of subjects such as housing is available, as well as gentle exercise classes and play for children.
Clarity Walk aims to reduce isolation by bringing people together with our digital detox walks through walking and talking and enjoying the natural environment.
Barn Church Culloden “Food4Good” is a charity which distributes food to local people currently in need of a little help.
This was presented at a busk we did in the eastgate centre. The foundation is a charity supporting children and young adults with disabilities and complex needs across the Highlands.

One Stop Shop offers young people with an autistic spectrum diagnosis the opportunity to meet in supported groups and attend a variety of activities such as, coffee groups, cinema groups, cycling group lunch groups and others. This is vital in breaking the isolation many of these individuals experience. It also offers indivuals support with financial matters.
